With the development of the Thermo Scientific LC IsoLink interface, compounds can now be separated by HPLC and analyzed online for their individual 13C/12C ratios by isotope ratio MS. Here we report progress towards a method for HPLC separation of hydrolyzed RNA and determination of the carbon isotopic composition of the monomers.
