This webinar provides an in detail view of the capabilities of Thermo Scientific MALDI technique in accordance with the high resolution Thermo Scientific Orbitrap mass analyzer.
High Resolution / Accurate Mass Performance (HR/AM) of Matrix-Assisted Laser Desorption/Ionization (MALDI) Mass Spectrometry on Orbitrap-based instrumentation is presented discussing the instrumental design with its MALDI* intermediate pressure collisional cooling interface.
Performance of the instrumentation is shown with regard to mass resolution, mass accuracy, sensitivity and dynamic range. Experimental setup for Automatic Gain Control (AGC) in MALDI mode is provided.
Application examples deriving from LC MALDI (proteomics) towards MALDI MS Imaging of small molecules analyzed directly from tissue will be shown.
