The global beverage industry is growing with new product introductions including vitamin fortified water, energy drinks, anti-aging water, and herbal
nutritional supplements. With this growth comes additional analytical challenges. There is also the continuing need to analyze classic favorites such as sodas,
fruit juices, milk drinks, alcoholic beverages, and bottled water. To ensure consistent quality, the composition of beverages should be monitored throughout
production. Adulteration of starting ingredients can result in incorrect product labeling, which can become a safety and/or regulatory issue. Contamination at any stage of the process can also compromise product quality
