Beverages are potable liquids specifically prepared for human consumption and include both non-alcoholic (tea, coffee, milk, juices, soft drinks, and carbonated drinks) and alcoholic (wine, beer, spirits) drinks. Interestingly, although all drinks contain some water in them, water itself is not classified as a beverage. This section examines the measurement of the different compounds found in a variety of beverages.
