This method is a convenient packaging of the technology in Standard Methods “Chemical Oxygen Demand”, Method 5220 D, “Closed Reflux, Colorimetric Method”. It is based on the use of Thermo Orion Test Kits Cat. No. CODL00, or CODH00, or equivalent. The method determines chemical oxygen demand. Chemical oxygen demand is an aggregate property of water, and no CAS Registry Number is appropriate.
