Accelerated solvent extraction is a powerful technique that can be reliably used to extract plasticizers from PVC, as well as additives from other polymers. Accelerated solvent extraction uses organic solvents at temperatures above their atmospheric boiling points to deliver extractions equivalent to traditional extraction techniques, but with faster extraction times, reduced solvent use, and automation of the extraction process.
